ARRANGEMENTS IN CONTAINERS - COURSE FOUR - DEVELOPING CRAFT
Move beyond bouquets and develop the practical skills needed to create beautifully structured floral arrangements in containers.
Arrangements in Containers builds on the knowledge introduced in the earlier courses and explores how flowers, foliage, mechanics and containers work together to produce successful floral designs. Clear explanations and illustrated stages guide you through planning, constructing and evaluating a range of arrangement styles.
This course explores:
• Choosing an appropriate container for your design
• Selecting and preparing suitable flowers and foliage
• Understanding mechanics, stability and water sources
• Establishing proportion, scale and visual balance
• Creating strong lines, focal areas, depth and movement
• Developing classic and contemporary arrangement shapes
• Crescent, L-shaped, asymmetrical triangle, Hogarth curve and horizontal designs
• Refining placement and correcting common problems
• Professional finishing, care and presentation
Each design is approached as both a practical project and an opportunity to apply the elements and principles of floral design. Work at your own pace, practise the techniques and use the course as an ongoing studio reference.
Suitable for developing florists, flower enthusiasts and learners who are ready to broaden their practical design skills.
This is a digital, self-directed course supplied as a downloadable PDF. Flowers, containers, tools and other physical materials are not included.
