Designed with simple sentence starters and engaging visual supports, these cards give students a clear starting point for talking about themselves, their experiences, preferences, family, school, and everyday life.

Each card includes ONE simple sentence starter, helping reduce language overload while encouraging students to think of their own response and complete the sentence aloud.

HOW DO STUDENTS USE THE CARDS?

A colorful How to Use the Cards visual instruction sheet is included to make the activity easy for students to follow independently.

Students follow four simple steps:

1. PICK A CARD!

Pick a conversation card from the task card box.

2. READ IT!

Read the sentence starter on the card.

3. THINK & ANSWER!

Think of an answer and use it to complete the sentence.

4. SHARE IT!

Say the completed sentence aloud and share the answer with a friend, partner, teacher, or group.

Then simply pick another card and keep the conversation going!
