Job Offer & Commute Cost Comparator
Compare user-supplied take-home income with commute and other work costs.
Use your own entries in a reusable offline planner or calculator, then keep the details reviewable with the accompanying printables. Monetary entries and outputs use UK sterling (£).
WHAT YOU GET
- One offline HTML tool: job-offers.html.
- One three-page A4 PDF: a quick-start guide and two purpose-specific printable worksheets.
- Read-Me-First.txt with extraction, opening and backup instructions.
The three files are supplied together in one ZIP download.
SPECIFIC FEATURES
- Three user-entered offers
- Annual work-cost remainder
- Commute-time comparison
Compare up to three offers using take-home income figures you supply. Add commuting and other work costs to see the annual money remaining, and compare commute hours alongside the financial result.
EXAMPLE
£2,000 net/month minus £100/month equivalent entered work costs = £22,800 annual remainder.
The supplied example is illustrative. Replace sample figures, dates and records with your own; the examples are not recommended prices or promised outcomes.
USING AND SAVING YOUR FILE
Download and extract the ZIP, then open the HTML file locally in your desktop browser. There is no subscription needed to use the supplied files. Browser-local saving is optional and off by default. It can vary with browser and security settings, so use the manual JSON export/import controls for dated input backups. A results CSV export is separate from the editable JSON backup. Data entered in this tool is not uploaded to a bank or cloud service.
REQUIREMENTS
Use a desktop browser that can open local HTML files and download CSV/JSON files. Checked in desktop Chrome; other browsers and mobile layouts have not been verified. The PDF can be viewed or printed with a PDF reader. No spreadsheet licence is needed for this HTML product.
PRACTICAL LIMITS
The tool does not calculate tax, net pay or recommend an offer. Use verified take-home figures and count each cost once. Benefits, flexibility and job fit can matter even when a calculated remainder is higher.
Annual remainder is entered net income multiplied by 12, less the entered work costs. Commute hours are a separate time comparison. They are not deducted as money unless you include a relevant cost yourself.
There are no automatic notifications, messages, applications, transactions or live integrations. You enter and maintain the records and perform any real-world action yourself.
USE LICENCE
