Digital Crochet Pattern - Sternig
Sternig is the German word for starry. Combining the Marguerite stich with other stitches creates the appearance of stars and makes a lovely textured hat that matches my Gestirn cowl.
Tools and Materials:
- 6.00 mm J/10 crochet hook or hook size needed to achieve gauge. Note: several testers had to go down a hook size to achieve gauge
- tapestry needle and scissors
- 0.75 skein worsted weight or Aran yarn (sample used Malabrigo Rios in Reflecting pool). Testers used between 115 and 150 m 126 and 165 y.
Sizes: Three sizes – Small/Medium/Large, with a circumference of 51/53.5/56 cm 20/21/22 in designed to fit a head circumference of 53.5/56/58.5 cm 21/23/23 in around. The height of the hat (from crown to brim) is 21/22/23 cm 8/8.5/9 in. You can adjust the height of the hat by changing the number of pattern repeats crocheted.
Gauge: 7 stitches and 4 rows = 10 cm in Stitch pattern
Hook size: 6.0 mm (J)
Yardage: 126 - 164 yards (115 - 150 m)
