This cowl was designed to showcase any yarn that you have been saving for a special occasion. Solid or variegated; plied or single; handspun or hand-dyed…the only requirement for the yarn is that it should be something soft against your skin!


Since the entire project is knit, it makes great zen knitting. It is the perfect creation to work on between more challenging

projects.


The cowl is knit from the bottom-up on circular needles. A provisional cast on is used and to finish, live stitches from each end are grafted together to create a seamless tube.

Needles

  • 2 x 16” circulars - match size to yarn weight or size needed to obtain gauge


Notes: the second needle is for grafting your sts together - if you don’t have the same size, you can go down to the next size; 20” circulars can be used for medium and large sizes

  • 1 stitch marker to match needle size
  • smooth, contrasting scrap yarn to match weight of main yarn
  • crochet hook to match needle size
  • tapestry needle
