Hot weather affects blood pressure more than most people realise. Heat dilates blood vessels which can drop your BP, while dehydration from sweating can push it back up — making readings unpredictable. If you are on BP medication or diuretics, check your readings more frequently this week and drink water consistently throughout the day rather than waiting until you are thirsty. If you feel dizzy or faint in the heat — sit down, cool the back of your neck with cold water and hydrate immediately. 💙
