I.

A local-area popular-newspaper, carried a favorite-columnist.  ...Not just any “run-of-the-mill”, publicist-hack; but one Demonde W. Glenford, knew well.  ...But Mr. Georod Wetherford Orman, 12-year veteran of dedicated, discharge-paper The Penn-Sentinel...  ...This 140 year-old paper probably, outdated the camera...  De, bought it when on-road, driving route across upper-Philadelphia, PA when Rocky was in it's second-chapter and Sly S. was starting to getting tired and looked-it.  Glenford figured, he was into drugs which was nothing new-in Phil-P...  After first-conflict in Middle-East, he thought like everyone, in his-regiment; that it would be the biggest-”thump” those over-greedy Iraqis, would hide-in the deserts-for decades.

...War was the same all-over, that Korean, Vietnam, Middle-East engagements would be over, after a thumping.  That would only some-how be solidified, in their-destinies; unfortunately, and disapprovingly, were mistaken ed.   Uncle-Sam sought-out his own-feelings, in a toll and travail.  …U.S. Government essentially was a “Bo Gess” about people but not money.  The lone and solemn-wars, came and went.  De, had been around for a few of them.  He-knew instinctively, that war was never worth-it.  But a policy of brotherly-love, patriotism, duty and dedication; always, deepened the devotions-unforeseen.

He could write a book about how lonely servicemen, were sold-on over-simplified and utterly, subsided to the innate and intimate-demises and despairs withheld by them being-there.  ...Super-imposing, by supplicate and assertive-sentiments only-fed on by faults, forbade and ill-fortunate, fabrication.  It was a cultural-commendation that supplanted-men and substantiated-distances, disturbed and disregarded, in-thinking.  He could see-it in their-faces when he did volunteering at the local-enlistment-office.  Some you could see that plain-duty as being nonsensical and others sustained by one-goal and then the rest “hardworking”, in every-turn of word.

Those canoed and uniformed-officers were simply plants, subjugated by the Bill, wishing-for a clean-discharge.  Mumbly-Peg was like that, but some had the good-luck to be smart and take objectivity, as a way-of-acceptance.  But war, is the money-pit of political-rule.  Importance and improbability, were largess-on the same single-coin...  Possibility and plausibly, fed those with such appetites.  It was an in/out and in-between account, and the news-papers, so earnestly understood.   It was there for him at the paper-boy's stand.

Working in Philly, made a lot of things easy and others rather, seemly.  Everyday Demode came across bums, lying outside of the main-library on 8th and Senoire Avenue; nothing-strange for upper-Phil but he couldn't see who these people really were.  Some wore old-coats, from a defunct-store or found in somebody's trash.  Others had idiosyncrasies, only a close-friend would know.  On Sunday's he'd go by after his church-service and give them some donuts, he had left from the gathering.  They gorged-on them like someone had given them a feast.

He rode home in his 8 year-old Chrysler minivan that he had left after the divorce.  He had two-grown children that left for warmer-climes like Texas and Las Vegas.  He supremely, enjoyed sports, hobbies and socializing with a cool-Lager every weekend.  But the pit and pendulum, swayed this-day.  Cable TV was playing in the back-ground of his modest South side-home, where he and his very-close girlfriend shared life, visits from adult-children and friends in the neighborhood.  Every once in a while the hood would throw block-parties, and enjoy some exquisite-barbecue.

He had an English degree from Penn state after his committed mother and absentee-father help make the decision to go on and graduate.  The whites, up the street, ignored him when they felt so moved.  But he didn't mind, white people cared-on their own terms.  Ever so often, early in the morning, he could here the voices and screams of injured war-mates after the collapse-in Beirut, Lebanon in the eighties when he was just becoming a Marine.  But when he saw the dust clear he was back at home in his kitchen.  His two-macaroon cats wandered in to see what the morning brought in.

There, he rubbed them on the tail and they had what they were questioning and investigating, and went-back into the solemn-darkness of the house.  His girlfriend was free to come and go, as she pleased.  She loved him very much but he had enough of matrimony, lust and romance.  He loved her but she was just-fine having her do her thing and have a shelter with him not interfering.  War and life were common-denominators, if you survived you came-out ahead.  But he didn't like the politics of risking someone's life, on either-account.

He retired after 12 years with a pension, VA bill and the like as an honorable discharge.  Both war and the military taught him a lot about life, somewhat about survival and a little about choices.  There was so much of the young recruits couldn't understand, because they were not prepared.  In armed forces, you did as told, forget self-purpose, that went out the window, the door or out-the reared.  So you either understood or you came to endow that very purpose of life, respect and dignity.  Some young people couldn't understand that, but it was not a choice, but an order.

And if orders weren't followed, you soon found yourself discharged, stockaded or quickly, taken the flight to home with a dishonorable.  Once he figured it out, you picked up on everything else quickly.  And if you understood your Ps and Qs, it was a tangential-competence through duties.  It all became one big-inward commitment, that imposed and was transposed into regiment, regency and positive regalia.  It all was follow-orders on all terms, then all else was left to your officers, his OC and the Generals, and their Higher-ups.  You had to be a small cog in a big machine.

Never but never question authority, you'll pay judgment taxes like no other.  There are no smart recruits, Sergeants, Lieutenants, Captains etc.  Just duty men commuted to the command that moved when told and only reported irregular routines, that decided an outcome or reevaluated the next move.  The only truly, imparted was those sitting at home, and they didn't care what the soldier, did hap hazardously.  At home, life was normal.  But still at home, you had to skip, or live or die, win or lose, right or wrong, and return to civil life; that was all you had.

You weren't a conquering-hero, a defender of America or an en dower of rising to the cause; but a simple one-time warrior.  So you became idiopathic, and improbable about averse and object-recourse.  A lot of men simply, went in with some grand-idea and if steadfast, comes to be committed-disciples of discipline; and see for themselves that faith and fear were two heads of a single-coin.  ...He would head for Jasmine's Delicatessen to by two-pounds of head-cheese for his mother, who was in here seventies, he'd give his left-arm keep her happy.

She stayed-in the same house since he left for service; she almost lost the place, after the neighborhood-renovations; but he stepped-in and bought-it for her.  So her and her two-pit bulls Racer and Conney, stayed at home relaxing and enjoying TV, needlepoint and yarning.  She-used to like to cook but she didn't have a husband or kids.  But on holidays, she did for neighbors and any kinfolk that came-over, by invitation.  She kept up with all the kinfolk across town, city, state and country.  She locked her door three-times a day, and looked out the front window in the living-room, twice a day.

The house was full-of-memories, awards, and mementos; that a life-lived, had.  Her favorite-sister was Hidis, she was half-Cherokee and her-mother was full-blood.  They adored each other, when she died suddenly, she cried all day, but she had seven daughters from different men, so they came over every few months.  Every time she could see Hidis, in their-features.  They loved her as a second-mother, and she imparted-wisdom; as an adorned and caring mother should...  But like her half-sister she had cunning-smarts, and she could see that when she had concerns for her caring adopted children had problems, she attended to them out of love, and loyalty...

Life is a struggle, a formidable-con function; that we endure, and that goes “deep” within, the mind and emotion...  That we learn at best, and endure; as a common-sense.  But hope, pride and devotion, gives us reason to forge-on and be-alive.  The willingness to  be a human-being, tells us we must be endowed and incur about the confidence of our on lessons, liberal and legitimacy; which we pray, we understand.  But death is a fear we  can overcome, accept and make over to our advantage.  We are willing to make changes, but feelings are personal, and private, that we come to be educated, essence and engage, in the hope of will, and as a survival.  We become a treatise of evidence, and device; that prescribes and produces in a whole and entire cavalcade of factors, we follow as the theme of division, for and against cause-and-effect...

...Deliberating and deciding, by an encountering-critical; and as a critiquing-in what is by an elemental device-ritualized, and in-specifics...  That we have hallowed and habituated in-designs and dimensions portraying, and as a prioritizing; in vi-vial and avocation across time, plan and place...  Seeing-without eyes, what is there and projecting and planning, by what may be.  We become exacting-people, ornate and capitalizing on all-planes.  But we are only “vivid”-volunteers, subsequent and systematizing-on something that was eventually, abhorrent and obtuse-engendering, and regeneration.

Wars are simply conflicts of ill-certainty, and denied-apparently.  We-fight to improve or disprove in what is extracting and contracting; by the will of Man which is to always see what we can not have, to overt by distancing and disturbance...  We volt and versify, a demeaning and denomination.  It was a limited-world, but someone had to live-in it.  Once he arrived at his mother's, he kissed her and put some of his-gifts down on here dining-room-table.  Where she kept sparkling, from years of polish and looking-after.

She questioned him on all her motherly, concerns...  What was most important, was she got to see her-boy.  The boy whose face smiled when she gave him ice-cream, Christmas gifts and all the loving surprise of her love for him.  She didn't care what he brought her, she was glad to see the child she bore still strong and valued, bring her gifts of love, sharing and respect.  She remembered how he volunteered for duty at 18, just two months out of high-school.  An above-average student, he'd thought of the Marines for three-years at 15, when he'd sit watching his uncle's TV in her living-room after he lent it to her as a way to occupy him, due to all his teenage-energies...

...He stayed close to the screen, watching the world go-by, and her-observing him; and his-reactions and verifying, just what were his-thoughts, and why...  De, was an engaging-student but he had a succinct-desire to elaborate and transform; by the essences and en-actions, that make people take notice and be self-responsible.  A person, like him, understood.  While the US was in financial, political and social-conflicts of military citing; De was growing up, ignoring or not quite-understanding what was occurring.  The unusual-citing all seemed, unequivocal to any good-sense, but always fed others unsavory-principles...  After reaching young-adulthood, he began taking notice of all this.

How the leaders vowed to fight, wasn't based-on others, but a call to duty without fail, fault or fear.  That these men and women took up arms to help people who were in harm's way.  But the complex-decisions and declarations, led to a soldier to do what was to be a crucial-act.  That  plying and planning-to defend-rightfulness, they were the front line; and that no two wars were exactly the same.  That bidders of war are people untouched by dignity or human-value, and that death was a part of their-plan...  Soldiers and war, were both solemn and set, in a conferring and confiding.  That perhaps as settled and sanctum but if done with inferred and informing-confidence; that are solemn or subsiding...

War is never anything expected, not some sort of definite-consideration or proposal but an ever-elucidating complex...  Where men and women, encounter, incur and include what was never known and expect untold, berated-destiny.  But erratic and erosion, happen and contaminates, as a corroding-discipline and dysfunction.  As a US soldier during War, we all spell-out our fears and fates, as some sort of direct-division, and directive.  That we come to wish we could order but can not or accountable, accord.  Some perhaps nearly, all spend the remainder of their lives trying to forget or be formidable.  But war doesn't make sense.  ...It does not prove itself, viable or a conviction; but keeps occurring as signs of ill-respective, contention; which begun in thought, we'd wished; what was best.

It is in those latter-years of life, we let ourselves forget; what in five minutes, desired to have never, even considers.  De, was just another product, a disciplinary-division; what were acts of command.  You did what you were told, forgetting and erasing all-other instances.  ...He just came to ignore and avoid, true-actuality, of his-rank.  That in an array-of-orifices, that either decided or denied-untold acts, of infirm and reprimanding.  That your most important-purpose was to do and make your actions; as a derivative and demand-fulfilled.  You could consign and abort-on a regular-basis; but inclemency meant you did it accurately and essentially, attainable.  Forget that you came to defend your country, that imposed-on you; was the ways and wills, those that couldn't prove or be proud.  But that you became an extended-arm and finite-assignee of a principle unsure, and ill-certain...

All those arrays and observations, all; were-communed and commuted; as a differential-article, that per-dated and disaffected; who, actually, were...  That there was an apprising-comparative, that made for a distant and amorous-man.  That your whole-life, can be contained-in one very-uncertain, congeal.  Many terms that a enlistee had, meant his heart and mind, had to be a commit.  A series-of-assents, and availing; that vies and advocates, in a deriding-imperative.  That what was in his-heart was the dire-need and consequence that in all the world a warrior must abrogate his very-discipline.  To afford all those promulgation and premises to fight an unfair battle, that needs to be won and must be embraced...  This elegant-entrant, confiscated and diminished; by the times and terms of an everyday-life.  It became an epiphany-objective; that grew-ever so overt, and ever-demise...  The valid-dossier of a discipline, advised and adverted; the irredeemable, and denied...  Every soldier that ever saw battle, knows the recalcitrant and distrusting-bite of individual-abjection, and ulterior-attitude.  We are all-replete, with wiser-ramifies, caused and accorded; in our own self-accommodation, across space and time...  We get fed bits and pieces, of considerations; but must dissolve and dissipate-decisions, and discretion; that we feed and fade-on, our own melancholy, and accept communistic-fate.

In our world, each of us takes and accedes; where it is the one, we self-ascertain and self-annotate; develops and makes deposition, to adjust and adorn; by art and acts, across and accrued; in some-sense of devotion, didactic-sentiment, and sensation.  We-all try to justify, allude and allot; in a denied-sentiment, but can only remain-ratified and rewarding...  But he inspected and espoused, heart and hope; but not fully-honor, because as a good serviceman; he gave it his-all, as a sacred-code he could never-fully own, alone.  His-world revolved-around granting and ghosts, of deriving and dedication-afforded and infused, to command mind and mission; as a cost for right and reason...

He knew what had inspired him, what had been a result of his and others' actions and the multitude and conferring that subjugated all manner of people, places, times and resources.  Those many schemes of determination and duties that either adorned or scourged what was and became what had become. War is the greatest life-changer and the least reliable commitment that man-kind can inflict on anything.  That what was given the way to historic assailing only bled and justified division and devastation.  It's an elemental mantra, but life's little-iniquities fall under that category.  It poses and fuses with every thought we have.  De had been a pet-of the system, but he caught on fast.  That alluding too what he, his-father and mother thought the reprise and predisposed of being both hardened and honorable pervaded through the many empathizes of the very essence and thought logic.  Each of us take our time traveling through life, embossed, emboldened and em base in some pro to-logic we can never be to sure of.  That through-out time, people reckon with and resolve the retinues and reversions so common in those affording and fighting violent conflict.

In a free and independent country, life is often held either adhering and adept; at the fragile and fragrant withstanding of hope and homage.  That we surmise and epitomize, how just and genuinely competence and commitment we've come to be.  America is a first-class country, we all are its citizens of a 400 year old country.  In that four century span, all are thriving and ambitious endowments have left many, both devoted and impacted.  That war, was a successive-advent and avocation, a guiding symbol of virtue, vice and vehemence; which has adorned and adopted, its own level of fortune and fruition...  Men, women and their-children have learned the ultimate-fate and justice, which has rendered-faith and forward.  That our past-reveres and refines, our psyche and sentiment that approaches and adapts, what has become our future and fulfillment.  Blood has been split, lives lost and liberty protected in that name. That progress and purpose has ventured forth and vying has become a legitimate way of life.  But De was the unit of national notoriety and caveat substrate which knew he limits and the regents of his quarter.  That no matter how important, proper and practical we are utterly, prove of our own perpetuate.  The streets, houses, buildings, and its occupants can only be keepers of an utter viability and providence that stood this its invention.

Pennsylvania, was a catchment of land in 1608 to William Penn, a Quaker given American territory by his former countrymen, in Europe.  He was going to live and serve God and with his religious-community. But society and culture, had other ideas.  He eventually, gave up all control to land-grabbers, commerce and powerful men with strong political-ties.  Today, it's only a state of 6 million and Philadelphia is an anointed and industrial community of the western-northeast.  And people now enjoy middle northeastern resolve.  Here, life goes on with city, community, sports, travel, developments and commerce; that subsequently, apprises and apportions; in some central-reality. But in the path of time, events and origins life became an ever-evolving maelstrom-of charters and choices.  Men became more powerful, prosperity-arrived, and the trials and judgments of living-changed.  Posterity lead men down a different path and plots and patriotism divulged deeper more suitable succinct meaning. The many plots of mankind won, loss and decided how the world would live.  Countries and lifestyles became reckoning rectifications, modernity came and went, societies transitioned and cultures were lead by people then this inculcation both drove and divided countries, cultures and communities.  Worthy men devoted to cause committed themselves and leaders fell and rose and the world deeded and justified instance and entitled entire-ties. Wars of attrition divided and subdivided in efforts to grow, alter and engage their own personal meaning...

The scope and details of allusions, alliances and contradictions; fell on those born, that the character of each entities changed, guided and gravitated by the pulse and plurality; that changed, involvement and division-devised and developed, an intent of a culture and its intrinsic.  All the politics, propriety and proponent that each lived, died and overcame in ever-deriving forms.  The world became a springboard to instance and undertaking, but war was the drastic last-step.  Empowered and endowed men, diverted and deviated-across political lines, and rules emerged and ignited new-beliefs and concurring.  Imposing and impacts reaffirmed and re initiated, a world.  Even as men and women sought to alter the course of history, their mark left a “scourged-earth” reality.  But those opposing, overturned and re advised even better-futures.  But men seeking devotion and duty-died, deposed and those undercurrent many times took over and erased in greater numbers of inordinate implications that went on unanswered.  Solitary existence many times were deposed and re emulated in greater inhumanity and over-powering incision. America so self-enamored could only denoted or re devise the world's inhibition and in ordinance.  Each new decade meant succumbing and injected submission that could not be dissolved but only lamented.  Inspiration many times meant death and despair on many grounds.  Those in-charge meant essentially, eradicating and dis-employing in a central deploy of force and blame that was not always understood.  That an inward misanthrope decentralized and subverted terms and trials.  The ordinal applied.

Each new-stage of action and en-action, brought-in its own terms of plot and engagement.  An impotent-infraction; that some were left-out or choices-changed...  De, was an initiator and incursion, that was done as to undoing his own awareness and objectivity...  With every passing-day, people died, rights changed and realities were forever-redefined.  An aspect and especial-centrality, that spoke of both new-reverence and old-irrelevance, with the greatest-country in the world, trying to portray and predetermine-odds, odes, ought and obligations.  It's the center of regime interaction that subverts and substances the many elements and allegories that are chosen by leaders, established by parties and implemented by solely, solitary men and women.  War, has the deep-seated meaning of survival or substance; that concerts and commends a certain and sincere solemnity and forthrightness that no other reverence or reality conforms or transforms...

It is the consolidated-illusion, by which a call for acts-of-violence becomes systematized and situated; by thought, theory and technical...  That a sincere-accent serves to announce and annoint; in the device and division of act and assertion, that satisfies and ascertains certainty and sanctity; exercises and suppresses, solace and solemnity.  There are entire-worlds-set and ignited; by accord and commitment.  To look deep within accounts and undertaking, an advent and accommodation; seals and satiates on many grounds.  That military schools, departments and divisions attain their worth by immenent-conditions across, through and at end, what makes the war-machine succeed.  That a sentimental-discharge of account and substance; apparent and appointed-by comport, and completeness.  De, was a fortunate and unabjuring-man, since childhood; he looked for a deeper, more-significant way of life.  But he eventually, realized that everything, everyone and each-situation; required either a compiling or complicit-civility; that could only changed with adjustment and altered-attitude...  That people are their-own solution in solitude, which much evolve, strengthen and reset-in some-sort of idea, or invitation...

His-mind caught-on, into the formitive-years of sequences and sophistications; that people on TV in the news, all had their own level of adjustment; that apportion and appreciate with time, acceptance and civility.  That a power of confession, and regression; which seem to be conceived and condoned, on their-own terms.  As a sense of commendment, that potent and parallel; pace and patience to finally, dislodged-instance and object-subjection.  We go-forth or fail, on the consummate-concepts of division and devotion.  But like all things, time heals all wounds, but with a soldier; the aggregate of war, he is purely, the imputing or empowering of presence and practicality; that goes by the way-side.  That they plot a trail which only fades even with its ever-abject, sensibilities.  Men and women assess and assize in a self-sacrificing application given life for a reason of suiting and susceptibility.  De knew this going in, that a sustained decree comes with appreciation and approach edifies and educates in supplant subjection.
