An Addicts Struggle to Let Go

The setting of this novel takes place in two states Mississippi and Louisiana, after a whirlwind youthful relationship both Able and Liz choose different paths only to find themselves back in each other's arms. After 21 years of friendship, they decide it's time to get married however there are struggles early on in their marriage because of addiction and codependency.  Liz is proving to be an emotional trainwreck her genuine intent to nurture and foster her husband's recovery is taking her on an uncharted journey of the mind. Able, a once strong-willed, self-taught journeyman tortured by childhood abandonment and adult traumas, finds himself struggling to let go of life’s disappointments.       

You win some, you lose some. The journey of repetitive behaviors is never about the other person it's always about you, the addict in constant denial. Emotionally tied to fixing what you did not break, how will this end?
