Summer Storm

A percussion quartet for intermediate to advanced players with soundtrack of environmental sounds.  The full score and all the parts are included in the download (58 pages) and the environmental sounds can be downloaded for free at https://urbanskyline.bandcamp.com/album/summer-storm-environmental-sounds.  Quiet opening of sound effects from the percussion before the addition of the track and a building of sounds to the height of the storm.  An After the Storm section contrasts with the earlier music to bring the work to a peaceful close.

Instrumentation is: Player 1 - 3 Timpani, 2 contrasting Wind Chimes (ex. Bamboo or metal or glass or shells), Cymbal (loose).  Player 2 - 4 Tom Toms, 4 Suspended Cymbals, Claves or Low Temple Block, Bell Tree, Snare Drum.  Player 3 - Bull Roarer, Metal Prayer Bowl (on drum) Shells or Cabasa, Wind Chime (different from Percussion 1), Temple Block, Headed Tambourine, 4 Cymbals (use Percussion 2), Tam Tam, Vibraphone.  Player 4 -    Bell Tree, African Claves, Tam Tam, Wind Chimes, Shells, Brass Bowl (Bowed), Triangle, Sleigh Bells, Rik (or ethnic tambourine), Tom Tom, Finger Cymbals, Tambourine, Chains.
