This book is the result of a lifetime of searching for recipes that would create the curries I grew
up with in the Glasgow area of Scotland. There are currently many excellent recipe books and
online Forums that tackle the mystery of how to produce Indian food in the home and, whilst the
results are fantastic, I found they are aimed at reproducing the style of curries to be found in the
restaurants of England & Wales. In my frustration I eventually obtained work in a takeaway near
