THE GOOD EARTH

Saga #3 of the Planetary Roundtable

They rebuilt a community. Now the universe has come to visit.

Earth is no longer merely surviving.

Fields stretch across the valley. The pantry is full. The cannery and glassworks are producing. Horses pull wagons along busy roads. The dairy barn, flour mill, sawmill, workshops, and kitchens have become the machinery of a civilization built not around money, but around people helping one another.

And now the visitors have arrived.

Nordics, Greys, and Anunnaki come to Earth for the Planetary Roundtable, expecting negotiations, diplomacy, and perhaps a little suspicion.

What they discover instead is something much stranger.

Hospitality.

Samuel Yoder, Rebecca, Buck Rogers, Galileo Maestro, Elias Hawking, Mike the elephant handler, and the rest of the settlement introduce their extraterrestrial guests to a world of working hands, shared meals, enormous tomato fields, milkmaids, craftsmen, elephants, carnival rides, and a restored Fokker triplane.

The visitors tour the sawmill and flour mill. They see food being canned and glass being made. They discover warehouses filled not with weapons, but with things people can actually use.

Food.

Water.

Tools.

Glass.

Furniture.

Knowledge.

And perhaps most valuable of all, a different way of thinking.

The Planetary Roundtable was created as a place where worlds could meet. But Samuel and his neighbors are about to discover that diplomacy doesn't always happen around a conference table.

Sometimes it happens over supper.

Sometimes it happens while riding a Ferris wheel.

And sometimes peace between worlds can begin with something as ordinary as sharing a tomato.

THE GOOD EARTH: SAGA #3 OF THE PLANETARY ROUNDTABLE completes Robert Pummer's three-book Good Earth Saga within the Earth Mover Universe, bringing together the people, ideas, humor, and possibilities that began with one simple determination:

If the old civilization is gone, don't rebuild its mistakes.

Build something better.
