If your hands have yet to know the delightful brps and brks of tuck stitches or you’re a master tuck stitch artist, this cowl is perfect to get your feet wet or fall in love with tuck stitches again in combination with some new techniques. This elegant texture interrupted by solid lines is beautiful and airy if draped around your neck once as an accent to your outfit or a cozy, dense last line of defense against wind if wrapped twice.
The cowl is worked in the round bottom up. The bottom edge begins with a fold created by knitting the provisional cast on round together with live stitches. The body is worked in a simple, textured and easy-to-remember tuck stitch pattern adapted from Nancy Marchant’s excellent book, “Tuck Stitches”. The three Tuck Stitch Sections are separated by welts created by knitting together two rows on the WS and finished off with one last welt binding off as you go.
