Dolcevinci is a crocheted cowl-transformer, which can be worn both as a head and neckwarmer.

The main part of the cowl is worked flat and sideways in a beautiful combination of three stitch patterns, full of delicate textures and lace. While working the last row, the cowl is joined in the round seamlessly, as-you-go.

The edges of both openings are embellished with a few rows of the eyelet stitch pattern and one of the openings has decreases to give it a smaller circumference than the other, which makes it very versatile.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Depth (1): 12¼″ / 31 cm
Top opening (2): 27½″ / 70 cm in circumference
Bottom opening (3): 39½″ / 100 cm in circumference

This pattern is easily adjustable in width, depth and shape (the top can have the same circumference as the bottom). The size and shape as designed are the right size for it to be worn as a hat when twisted around an average woman’s head and therefore it is not recommended that size modifications be made if it will always or sometimes be worn this way. To allow for variations in hair styles, head sizes, and/or the different properties of a substituted yarn, crocheting over elastic thread on the last round of each edging is recommended.
