EVENT DECORATOR SUPPLIES GUIDE
EVENT DECORATOR SUPPLIES GUIDE
The tools & supplies I actually use in my event decor business
Starting an event decor business can feel overwhelming — especially when you don’t know what you actually need, what is worth buying, and what can wait.
I created this guide to make that part easier.
Inside, I’m sharing the tools, supplies, materials, and little setup essentials I personally use in my event decor business — including many inexpensive items that have saved me time during real setups.
This is not a list of everything you could buy.
It’s a practical guide to the things I actually use.
WHO IS THIS GUIDE FOR?
This guide is perfect for:
• Beginner balloon decorators
• New event decorators
• Anyone building their first decorator toolbox
• Decorators who want to make setups faster and easier
• Anyone wondering which supplies are actually worth buying
• DIY decorators who want to work more professionally
You do not need years of experience or a huge inventory to use this guide.
WHAT’S INSIDE?
You’ll learn about the supplies I use for:

Tools and materials I use to secure backdrops, covers, signs and decor.

One of my favorite tricks for metal backdrops, fabric covers and attaching signs.
LED Lighting
A simple way to add another level of detail to balloon installations and event setups.

Balloon Brands & Suppliers
The brands I personally use, what I started with, what I prefer now, and where I purchase my balloons.
WHY I CREATED THIS GUIDE
When I started decorating, I didn’t have a huge budget.
I learned which supplies were worth investing in, which inexpensive tools worked perfectly fine, and which purchases could wait.
Some of the tools I still use today cost only a few dollars.
Over time, I also discovered small tricks that made my installations faster, easier and less stressful.
That experience is what I put into this guide.
My goal is to help you avoid buying random supplies you don’t need and instead build a practical decorator kit that actually works.
MY APPROACH
You don’t need the perfect inventory to start.
You need the right basics, practice and experience.
Start small. Learn what works for you. Then invest as your business grows.
