A Thousand Dreams

This is a song from a stage show I hope to complete in the next year or so. The story is that of a sea captain who has been away from home, from his wife, and against his better judgement, agrees to let his wife come aboard for his last sail. Tragedy ensues, and his wife is lost overboard. Bereft, the captain loses the will to live but has a crew to care for and get home safely. This song is about the captain looking back at the dreams they had for their lives.
