In a distant future, the world has found a way to harness and manipulate memories. People can trade moments of their lives, from the mundane to the extraordinary, through a system called “RememNet.” The wealthy can afford to buy cherished memories from the less fortunate, replacing their painful experiences with happier ones, while others sell their memories just to survive. But memories are not just personal—they can influence entire societies.

The protagonist, Lian, is a “Memory Merchant,” a rare individual who can extract, preserve, and even create memories for others. She is known for her ability to create fake memories, altering people’s pasts to suit their desires. However, Lian harbors a dark secret—she once sold her own most precious memory, a moment from her childhood that she can never get back.

One day, Lian meets Ryu, a young man who wants to erase his tragic past but with a price: he wishes to forget everything, including his connection to his family, to start anew. Against her better judgment, Lian agrees to help him, but when the procedure begins, something goes wrong. Lian finds herself trapped in Ryu’s memories, caught in a labyrinth of his forgotten past.

As Lian unravels the mystery of Ryu’s memories, she discovers a hidden truth: the world’s memory trade is not as innocent as it seems. An underground organization has been using memory manipulation to control history, shaping the future by altering the past.

Now, Lian and Ryu must work together to undo the damage caused by the manipulation of memories. But along the way, Lian confronts her own lost memory—the one she gave away in exchange for survival. As she navigates the blurred lines between reality and falsehood, Lian is forced to question whether any memory is truly worth having or forgetting.
