The Blonde Consultation Cheat Sheet

After years and years on the floor and I spent most of them writing consultation notes on whatever was nearest. The back of a business card. A colour chart. My hand, once, which I'm not proud of.

Then you get the client who swears blind she's never coloured it herself, and there's a box dye line sitting two inches off the root looking right at you, and you've already quoted her a price.

So I built this.

What you get

A one page colour consultation form, fully editable in Canva. Your salon name, your colours, your Instagram handle. Takes about ten minutes to make it yours.

Hair history with the tick boxes that actually matter, including the henna question everyone forgets to ask. A porosity and condition section. Space for the plan, the time, and the price quoted, with a line about what happens if it needs more product than expected.

And the bit I use most: desired result and realistic result today, sitting side by side. That one layout choice has saved me more difficult conversations than anything else I do.

Plus a patch test record, and signature lines for both of you.

Ten things I ask before I quote a price. None of them are clever. They just move the awkward conversation to the start of the appointment instead of the backwash, which is the only place it can go well.

Question six is "is that a wig, extensions, or a filter?" You will use question six more than you think.
