A one page activity for your incoming First Years. They answer a handful of simple questions about who they are right now: favourite subject, favourite food, hobbies, the dream job, the skill they are learning, and a piece of advice to their future self.

It is a great icebreaker for the first week, and it quietly does a bit of History teaching too, because what they are producing is a primary source about their own lives.

Then park it for six years. Hand it back to them before they walk out the door after the Leaving Cert and watch the faces.
