Have you ever been in a toxic relationship? If you have, you know overcoming after a breakup is full of trials and tribulations. The breakup process for many of us looks like cycles that continue to build over time when not confronted. What if I told you that breaking up with anxiety is the same way? When I decided to break up with anxiety and began committing myself to Jesus, my health, and my self-care routine, the darkness started to deplete, and God’s light began to shine throughout my life. This book is a testimony of God’s faithfulness in helping me through anxiety. He is genuinely the ultimate counselor and has assisted me with writing this book.
The goal of this anxiety journal is to help you gain clarity on what anxiety looks like from a spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional perspective.
The workbook/journal is divided into five different sections:
Part I: Psychoeducation on stress vs. anxiety: The Brain, stress, and anxiety are explored and how the brain functions when in these anxious states
Part II: Why am I worried? This section Focuses on challenging worrying thoughts and feelings that cause fear and maintained anxiety
Part III: My Body Needs a Release. By Focusing on physical ways to challenge anxiety, we focus on different perspectives on losing weight, not only physically but mentally.
Part IV: Using the Word to battle Anxiety: There is no better weapon than prayer, praise, and reading your Word. This section will help explore different Biblical practices to combat anxiety (you are encouraged to go back to the Bible and also read these passages for yourself)
Part V: Christ Care Coping Skills: This section will explore other coping skills essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including self-esteem, social support, and resiliency.
Although this book should not be used as a replacement for therapy, it can assist you in your new journey. Happy healing!
Father, we say thank you! I pray for protection and covering over this book. and readers. I thank you for the person on the other side of the book. I pray for grace, love, peace, and persistence for those reading. Lord, hide them under your wings as you do in Psalms 91. Cover them in the blood and forgive them of any sins- seen and unseen. Forgive them for listening to the wild schemes of the devil. Anxiety will not win. Grief will not win. Trauma will not win. I pray you send your warring angels to protect those reading or listening to this book. Lord, I cover them how I cover myself with Psalms 91:1
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty".
Thank you Lord. Covered.
