The Pearl of Great Price Made Simple

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it" (Matthew 13:45-46).

The Pearl of Great Price Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through Christ's own parable of the merchant and the pearl, from Matthew 13:45-46. Eleven devotional chapters trace the merchant's whole journey: the seeking that came before the finding, what makes the Pearl truly great, the joyful cost of selling all, the kingdom the Pearl pictures, the rival "goodly pearls" that compete for our hearts, the rich young ruler who walked away, the unshakeable security of the Pearl once bought, the life of a Pearl-owner, heaven's own arithmetic of joy, and bringing another merchant to the market.

Explicitly Trinitarian: the Father who planned the Pearl before the foundation of the world, Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior -- the Pearl of great price Himself, and the Holy Spirit by whose power alone we seek, sell, and are kept. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.

Read one chapter a day. Seek honestly. Sell all gladly. Rest secure.
