In recent years a greater device was developed specifically for Reading and saving books digitally it was called the e-reader it has a long-lasting battery that can hold thousands of digital books and can easily read out which was developed to save space using instead of libraries, money because digital books will be less expensive than printed books, salvage the environment because digital books decrease our waste productions, it is portable and searchable.

KINDLE DIRECT PUBLISHING (KDP) ACCOUNT 

KDP account is where books are published and it stores your personal information, tax and financial details. With KDP you can selfpublish eBooks, paperbacks, and hardcover books for free. With KDP you have direct access to your book on Amazon where you are allowed to create product detail page for your eBook. Amazon makes it possible for you to opt to expand your book globally so that it can be accessed by readers ill over the world. To publish your book with KDP gives the opportunity of having full right over your book, such rights cannot be granted by traditional publishers. This the edge that publishing with KDP gives.

It is worthy of note that KDP allows only the publishing of eBooks using Kindle and paperbacks but it does not permit the creation of magazines and periodicals. The following can also be published through KDP, Textbooks, Book series, Comics, Journals, Novels, Poetry, Children’s books, Cookbooks etc.

 Formatting

A manuscript is a finished work written. Manuscript can be said to mean an author's handwritten or typed text that is yet to be published. Manuscripts are formatted before publishing. 

Formatting is how your manuscripts looks and reads. It is therefore the proper way that your manuscript should look before publishing. Formatting takes into consideration font size. Word count, page colour, line spacing, page number, paragraphs breaks and a lot of other things. Formatting entails putting everything in order. All the features as stated above should be properly arranged to put the book in a readable and interesting and attractive form.

 There are two ways of formatting namely: (i) Manually or the create space which is the old method and (ii) The use of KDP App. Here formatting done using the Kindle create app is a more advance method of formatting. Using the kindle create to format manuscripts make the work a lot easy. It is a formatting system which gets your work well formatted and all errors are dictated for correction.

i. The basic method: The basic method uses a create space template to format books.

ii. The advance method: The advance method uses a Kindle create app to do same. The advance method is more technical and it will be handled at the master class. You are all encourage to re

BASIC METHOD: You will need to publish your lesson note with this template the basic way. 

You can use the template below to do your work.

You can download it into your computer and open it on MS Word, then copy your lecture notes and paste on it. Sounds easy, right...
