Woodie The King - AV Winter 2010 Excerpt

Author/writer Herb Boyd penned a short interview with Woodie King Jr. for African Voices' Winter 2010 interview. Herb and Woodie's friendship began during his early years working in the Detroit theater community. The feature aptly titled, "Woodie the King" is a beautiful tribute to two legends whose paths continued to cross.

Herb writes: "Then it was time for two Alabama boys who grew up in Detroit to reminisce, to recall the Motown days, the great jazz musicians, and what it means to keep those memories alive."
