Danse Macabre vase: epic

The Danse Macabre is a symbol of resistance and resilience. It reflects the absurdity of material attachments and defiantly embraces mortality. A reminder of life’s fragility, and the inevitability of a visit from that great grinning egalitarian, the Grim Reaper. The Danse Macabre series is both memento mori—a reminder to inhabit the body before the music stops—and a way to keep our dead dancing. Where we can meet the unknowns despite fear and anchored by the fierce joy of reunion, as we surrender and alchemise through worm bellies and mycelial filaments, to crack open and multiply into…everything. 

The intention of this collection is to bring you into good relationship with your ancestors, and reframe endings as organic and subtle states that provoke new life and ways of being.

Each vase is a one-off design in the collection, channelled from the gods and monsters that prowl the edges of consciousness. Local pickup available at the end of the world (Tassie), coz shipping be laffable these days. However there is an Auspost shipping option at checkout.*
