Usually delivered over two days, the course uses a combination of theory and practical sessions to help the commercial coach develop the skills and competence to deliver safe and enjoyable lessons to grassroots riders, ensuring their correct progression from the complete beginner to the cantering and jumping rider. 

The course is suitable for all levels of coach, from the apprentice to the more experienced.

Upon successful completion, all candidates will receive a certificate of competence as assessed by J Green BHS Senior Eventing Coach. This can be presented to the licensing department of the local authority as evidence of Continual Professional Development, as per the requirements of licensing legislation.

As part of the pilot scheme, the course is currently available at the discounted rate of £375 per centre. This is for two consecutive days of training (recommended duration 9.30-3.30 with a short working lunch). The suggested number of delegates for this duration is 4-8 making it a cost of around £60 per delegate for 2 full days of training. It is at the centre's discretion if they wish to invite other local centres to share the cost and invite other local coaches - larger groups can be accommodated on slightly longer hours for a small increase in cost.
