Sponsor a Classroom: Aldo's Allowance Academy Classroom Economy

Put your business in front of local families while funding real financial literacy for kids.

Aldo's Allowance Academy is a Vermont-based financial literacy brand built from behind the counter of Barnard General Store. After more than a decade watching teenagers struggle with basic money skills at the register, founder Jillian Minerva built a curriculum that teaches kids how money actually works. Your sponsorship puts that curriculum into a real classroom.

What your sponsorship funds

The Classroom Economy is a full-year financial literacy program for grades 4 to 6. Students earn a paycheck, pay taxes, cover rent and insurance, save with interest, give back to their community, and navigate unexpected expenses through monthly Owl Alerts. There are no fines and no behavior charts. Students propose and run their own jobs, student bankers handle payroll, and every kid tracks their money in a ledger. The program covers gross versus net pay, fixed and variable costs, compound interest, opportunity cost, and generosity.

Each kit arrives turn-key for a class of approximately 30 students: full teacher guide, laminated reusable paystubs, currency cards in six denominations, Nocturnal Express pretend credit cards, Opportunity Perch gig cards, classroom posters, printable masters, and Nest Sale hang tags.

• Your logo on the Thank You letter that goes home with every student in your sponsored classroom(s)

Why it works

Parents see your name on the letter explaining what their child is learning about money. Teachers credit you in classroom conversations. • 1 classroom: $599
• 5 classrooms: $2,750 ($550 per classroom)
• 10 classrooms: $5,000 ($500 per classroom)
