Telling a child to do ten jumping jacks or run in
place can feel like a boring chore. But if you tell them to move like a
wild animal, suddenly exercise becomes a thrilling imagination game!
In the fitness world, jumping exercises are called ‘plyometrics,’ and they
are excellent for building strong hearts and fast muscles. We are going to
combine physical education with zoology, learning how and why
different animals jump, and training our own bodies to do the same.
