Automate Sending Monthly Merchant Statements Code
Free up time in your ATM business by automating sending your monthly merchant statements.
- This product contains 2 Python files. One is a test file (start with this first to send a test email to yourself) and the other is a final file, which will be the main file you run to send the final emails.
- Built to be used with Gmail.
- Works with any processing platform as long as the merchant statements can be downloaded in PDF format.
Instructions:
Go to your processor's website > Download each merchant statement for the previous month in PDF format and name them: locationacronym_statement.pdf , but update the location acronym part to be the acronym for the business the ATM is in, and make sure to download the files to your downloads folder > Place the 2 Python files on your desktop > Open one of the files (start with mstest.py just to make sure everything is correct before sending the final emails) > Replace the text in parentheses with your info > Open Terminal > Enter the following code: cd desktop > Enter the following code to run one of the 2 files: python mstest.py OR python msfinal.py OR python 'whatever you choose to rename the files to'.
