Ketron SD90 SoundFont Collection – Full SFZ Pack | 6 Sound Banks + Full Drums

Ketron SD90 Full SFZ Pack is the complete SFZ version of my Ketron SD90 sound library, created from multisamples taken directly from my own Ketron SD90.

This is a large, detailed collection containing the full range of instruments included in the original project, carefully sampled, edited and prepared for use as SFZ multisampled instruments.

🎹 HOW THIS LIBRARY WAS CREATED

The instruments were sampled individually by connecting the Ketron SD90 via MIDI to Extreme Sample Converter.

Each instrument was sampled across a wide keyboard range, using 10–12 or more samples per instrument where applicable. This approach provides much better coverage of the keyboard and helps preserve the character and realism of the original sounds.

After sampling, the instruments were further edited and prepared. Depending on the instrument, this included:

• Loop creation
• Release settings
• Additional instrument parameters
• Sample editing and organization
• SFZ mapping and configuration

The project required many hours of sampling, editing, testing and preparation.

The large number of files and folders is normal for the SFZ format, where samples and instrument/mapping files are stored separately.

🎧 SFZ FORMAT

SFZ provides a flexible and open way of working with multisampled instruments. The library contains the necessary SFZ definitions and sample files organized into folders.

This makes the collection suitable for musicians who prefer working with SFZ-based samplers and software instruments.

The library is designed for use with SFZ-compatible software, including:

Compatibility can vary depending on the sampler and setup.

The library was created independently from samples taken from my own Ketron SD90.

The purpose of this collection is to provide a practical and portable SFZ library based on the sounds of the Ketron SD90.

The sounds are designed to reproduce the character of the sampled SD90 instruments, but this library should not be considered an exact replacement for the original hardware.

Some instruments use loops to keep the library practical in size and performance. Loop behaviour and certain sound characteristics may vary depending on the instrument and playback software.

This project was originally created for my own use and has been developed over many hours of sampling, editing, testing and organization.

The SFZ version gives musicians who prefer the open and flexible SFZ format access to the complete Ketron SD90-based library without requiring the original hardware.

If you already own the SF2 version, this is the same core library presented in SFZ format.
