Where to Eat in Holyhead 2026/27

A ferry traveller’s companion for Holy Island.

Arrive on Stena Line from Dublin without a car and the first question is always the same: where do we eat, and can we walk there? This guide answers it before you leave the terminal.

It is written for foot passengers. Walking times are from Holyhead ferry terminal. Breakfast cafés in town are eight minutes on foot. Harbour tables at Newry Beach are a short promenade walk. The best seafood is a taxi to Trearddur Bay or, for one proper night, Church Bay and The Lobster Pot.

Inside: where to go for a bagel and coffee before a sailing, where to sit with the harbour under the deck, which Trearddur kitchens to book on a Friday, and when not to squeeze a destination dinner between tight ferry times. There are suggested meal plans for a short layover, an overnight, and a late arrival from Dublin — plus a one-page directory of names and numbers.

Hours on Holy Island change with the season. This is an independent 2026 snapshot, not a live menu. Confirm before you travel, book the special-occasion table, and leave time for the ship.
