Laetare

This is a simple shawl knit from point to point in reverse stockinette st. This was initially designed as a nursing shawl, but I wear it all the time as an accessory. It is knit in a rather open, loose gauge, to create an airy feel to the shawl, so remember that if choosing an alternate yarn. I used all but around 5 yards of the yarn, so count on using the whole skein. It is a perfect choice for the one skein purchase of a color that you loved.

This can be worn as a light shoulder shawl, a kerchief or head covering, or even used to cover a nursing baby to help minimize distraction, give mama some privacy while nursing, or give baby something to explore with his fingers instead of mama’s hair or shirt.
