4. INT-SEL-004 — Eligibility Criteria, Screening, Study Selection and Review Flow Documentation
Description:
This Master Prompt would focus on establishing defensible inclusion and exclusion criteria and applying them systematically throughout study selection. It would guide researchers in defining eligible populations, phenomena, interventions, contexts, study designs, publication types, time periods and other relevant boundaries; removing duplicates; screening titles and abstracts; conducting full-text assessment; documenting exclusion decisions; and producing a transparent account of the final evidence base.
A major emphasis would be placed on traceability between the review question and every eligibility decision. Researchers would distinguish methodological diversity—which may be intentionally accommodated by an integrative review—from irrelevant or methodologically inappropriate evidence. Where PRISMA or comparable reporting guidance is used, study identification and selection should be documented transparently from initial retrieval through final inclusion.
