This is a triangle shawl that is worked sideways. The shawl features two textures: a delicate lace pattern that grows first with increases and is later worked as a straight panel and a cable pattern that is addictive to knit and grows with increases while shaping the shawl in the triangle. The both patterns are worked simultaneuously with intarsia technique and the shawl is finished with an edging with nupps. Video tutorial links on intarsia and nupps are provided in the pattern.

Pattern comes in English and in Finnish.

Sizing:
One Size: Wingspan 70”/175 cm, depth 30”/75 cm.

Materials:
You need 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn.
Yarn A: la Bien Aimée – Merino Singles 100% merino (366 m/400 yds/100 g, color Winter Garden.
Yarn B: Knitlob’s Lair – Tuulen tytär 100 % superwash merino (400m/444yds/100g), color Havu.
The sample was knitted with exact amount given in this pattern without leftovers (2 skeins). Prepare with enough yarn for gauge and yardage variations. You can also make one lace chart pattern repeat less than in the pattern, if it seems that your yarn is running out.

Needles:
US 4 (3,5 mm) 40”/100 cm circular needle.
A same size crochet hook for the nupp edging.
Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge.

Gauge:
20 sts = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch. The gauge is measured from heavily blocked swatch. The same gauge is the cable pattern in the finished shawl.
The exact gauge isn’t crucial, however it will effect your yardage.
