Course curriculum
This course covers the history of Canada from the First World War to the present day, with an emphasis on the development of the Canadian identity through the World Wars and in the postwar era. Topics include cultural shifts, politics and economics and current event questions are posed throughout to show relevance and application. Students will learn historic thinking and inquiry and will learn to make connections, identify ethical considerations, draw conclusions and support opinions with factual information. We have carefully created 21 teaching videos exclusive to this course. Principles of democracy and freedom will be a mirror held up to policy and practice as we study the history of Canada during this historical period.
