Your child's DLA is ending and moving to PIP. Different form, different system, different language.

In Northern Ireland, DLA doesn't roll into PIP at 16. Your young person is invited to make a new PIP claim through the Department for Communities. If that claim is made by the date in the invitation letter, DLA keeps being paid until the PIP decision. DLA asks what care your child needs; PIP asks what they can do on a typical day, and wording that worked on DLA won't always carry over.
