Canada's Charitable Sector in a Spreadsheet: 2024 CRA Charity Financials & Sector Statistics (Excel + CSV)

It has 83,761 charities with designation, category and province, 2024 revenue, expenditures, receipted gifts, assets and liabilities for 79,677 of them, plus ready-made sector summaries.

Good to know

- The raw data is free from the Government of Canada (CRA open data). You're paying for the cleaning: separate files joined, codes decoded, key financial lines selected, summary sheets built.

- This is 2024 filing data, not live registration status. Check CRA's Charities Listings for current status.

- Research data, not a contact list: no street addresses, full postal codes, phone numbers, emails, or directors' and officers' names, and no website or contact fields. (20 charities' registered legal names happen to be web domains, e.g. "Jack.org"). Location is city, province and postal area only.

- Includes an informational flag for charities whose names may refer to a person (keyword- and pattern-based, and incomplete).

- Instant digital download (ZIP).

Licence: In addition to Payhip's standard licence, the seller grants you permission to use these files for personal and commercial research and analysis, including your own reports, dashboards and client work, and to publish what you build from them.
