Schooner Beanie

About the Pattern:

This one skein wonder is a short fisherman’s beanie with a folded brim and a great textured stitch on the body of the hat. Even though the beanie is small, there are several design elements in the construction of the beanie that makes the appearance look polished.

Sizing:

Teen, Adult, Adult Large

To fit a head circumference of 18”-20”/46cm-51cm, 20”-22”/51cm-56cm, 22”-24”/56cm-61cm

Yarn:

Suggested Yarn: 1 skein of Organic Studio DK by Neighborhood Fiber Co.,100% Organic Merino Wool, 400yds/366m in 4oz/113g

Needles:

US size 4 (3.50mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle

US size 4 (3.50mm) DPNs or

US size 4 (3.50mm) 24”+ (60cm+) circular for magic loop

Or needle size needed to achieve gauge

Gauge:

22 sts x 38 rounds in texture pattern stitch in the round after blocking = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) with US size 4 (3.50mm)
