BUNDLE LISTING - Pip AND Willow PDF Sewing Patterns
Please note this listing is to purchase BOTH the Pip Mini Backpack & the Willow Backpack Patterns. If you wish to purchase just one version, you can find them available individually on separate listings.
Willow is a backpack finished with internal binding, approximately 12.5” (31.8cm) tall by 9” (22.9cm) wide), with a gusset approximately 5.5” (14cm) deep.
Pip is a mini fashion backpack finished with internal binding, approximately 10.5” (26.7cm) tall by 7.5” (19cm) wide), with a gusset approximately 4.5” (11.4cm) deep.
Both patterns have a main zipper closure, optional exterior side pockets, and an internal slip and zip pocket. Willow requires one 18” (45.7cm) zipper and two zipper pulls for the main closure, one 9” (22.9cm) zipper and pull for the internal zip pocket option, Pip requires one 15” (38.1cm) zipper and two zipper pulls for the main closure, one 8” (20.3cm) zipper and pull for the internal zip pocket option.
Additional hardware requirements for both patterns are two 1” (2.5cm) rectangle rings and two 1” (2.5cm) triglide sliders for the straps, plus 14” (35.6cm) of 1/4" (6mm) wide elastic for the side pockets (in fabric exterior bases). Rivets can be used on this project.
Pattern pieces and/or measurements are included for the straps, ring tabs, and handles, although 1” (2.5cm) wide webbing can be substituted for these pieces at your preference.
Both Pip and Willow can be made in a variety of exterior bases including woven cotton, canvas and vinyl. Please consider the capabilities of your machine when choosing your exterior base. For the lining, I would recommend cotton woven, canvas or waterproof canvas. I recommend interfacing all fabric exterior pieces in full using a medium weight woven interfacing and using a fusible foam or fleece on exterior pieces for added structure and stability. Pattern pieces are included for the latter and are slightly smaller than the main exterior pieces to minimise bulk in your seams.
All fabric requirements are contained on the downloads, along with detailed instructions and photographs. Please note this download contains a printable pattern and full measurements for all pieces, and can be printed in both A4 and borderless US letter formats.
There is advice and inspiration available on our facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/backstitchandbastepatterns.
Please note this is a PDF Sewing Pattern download - you are not purchasing a finished product.
