*DEPOSIT PRICE*
VENUE:PADIHAM
DAY: TUESDAY
START DATE:19TH MAY
TIME: 7-8PM
The first step in our 18 month Spanish programme is the A1 12-week intensive beginners’ course and focuses on building strong foundations so that learners can progress confidently through our levels to conversational level over time.
However, if you already have a good amount of knowledge from duolingo/past learning, this A2+ course might be a good starting point for you.
Please contact us to complete a placement test- if you are unsure of your level.
The full cost of each 12 week course is £160. There is a £75 deposit required to secure your place, with the remaining balance due before the course begins. This will automatically be requested via email a week before the course begins.
There is also an optional Travel Spanish workbook available for £10 which prepares you for specific travel scenarios you might find yourself in in Spain.
The course runs once a week for 1 hour and classes are taught in small groups at either Whalley Old Grammar School or our main language centre in Padiham.
All materials are included. Learners receive their own physical folder packed with printed extra resources, weekly vocabulary lists and homework, along with weekly summaries of what’s been covered. You will also have access to our exclusive short videos and stories, created in-house to put everything learned in lessons into context, as well as ongoing access to our online course folder at any time. There is a short online assessment at the end of the course, and for those continuing to the next level, a brief refresher check part-way through.
After completing each course, learners can move up the levels through our structured pathway. With regular attendance and home practice, learners usually reach B1 level (or lower B2) within around 18–24 months, which allows for comfortable conversation with native speakers.
We also offer regular community events, such as tapas nights, informal meet-ups and Spanish immersion evenings, giving learners relaxed opportunities to use Spanish in a social setting.
All enrolled learners receive free access to our international pen-pal exchange, connecting learners with partner schools in Spain and South America to practice real communication.
Looking ahead, we’re also planning Spanish immersion trips to Valencia from 2027, led by our founder who previously lived there.
Below you can see our course list which specifies exactly what content is covered on each course.
Please also see below for instructions on finding us- you will also find these in your confirmation email.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE PRICE OF THE DEPOSIT ONLY. The remaining balance will be automatically requested via email 10 days before the course begins.
The 12-week course includes a planned one-week break after Week 6, giving students time to consolidate their learning and return refreshed for the second half of the programme.
Lancashire Language Academy Spanish Pathway (Levels)
This course structure breaks down Spanish progression into 12-week courses aligned (approximately) with CEFR levels, providing a complete roadmap from Complete Beginner to B2 and beyond. For context, if you attend each weekly session and complete home learning you could expect to reach b1+ within 18 months. This would be intermediate level moving towards advanced. (B1+ you would be able to hold a good conversation with a native speaker).
