Chinese New Year Pod

A 3D peyote stitch pod pattern. Four sides, one design on each side.

Each side gives one of the characters often used during Chinese (Lunar) New Year:

• Ji 吉 (auspicious)
• Fu 福 (fortune) is traditionally portrayed upside down, meaning "good fortune has arrived".
• Ping 平 (peace)
• Chun 春 (spring)

To be able to work this pattern, you need to be experienced with creating pods in the peyote/herringbone stitch. This pattern is intended for users that have experience with making these, and the pattern itself does not include instructions for joining the pieces together.

The finished item measures 8 cm tall (3.02 inches); each of the 4 sides measures 5 cm across (2 inches) if made with Miyuki Delicas size 11/0. Other cylinder beads can be used; the size of the finished item will vary accordingly.
