I am not fond of the animus which is permeating the political climate at present. This hostility is filtering down to social media and other interactions, which I find upsetting, frightening and divisive. I was casting about for which words to use for the introduction of this pattern when I happened upon Megan Rapinoe’s speech celebrating the USA Women’s Soccer Team Victory at the 2019 World Cup. She said so eloquently “We need to do better…we need to love more and hate less.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. This one is for you, Megan, and all the bada**women who love this country.
