"Puffin on the Cliffs" – A5 Oil Painting Print

This is a print of a small oil painting I did while at uni, based on a photo I took myself at Auchmithie – a quiet little spot on the Scottish coast. I remember spotting this puffin tucked into the cliffs, and it felt too perfect not to paint.

The original was painted in oil and inspired by the work of Patrick Fraser Allan, whose moody, earthy landscapes really stuck with me. I tried to capture some of that same texture and feeling here – the contrast of the bright puffin against those deep red rocks and thick greenery.

This A5 print keeps all the brushy, textured details of the original, and it's a lovely reminder of the stillness and strange beauty you find in places like this.
