These sporty ankle socks worked in sport weight or heavy fingering weight yarn knit up in a jiffy, with just enough stranded colorwork to keep you entertained. A bit of short-row shaping at the ankle creates a pull tab to help you get your socks on, and the stranded pattern in the middle of the foot adds cushioning.

To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:
- work in the round in knit and purl,
- do short rows,
- knit in the round using two colors,
- do standard decreases (k2tog, ssk, p2tog), and
- use Kitchener stitch to graft live stitches.

There are no charts required to complete the colorwork in this pattern.

Actual yarn usage will depend on the size made and the length of the foot. Most people will need about 100 g of yarn, but if you are making one of the larger sizes and/or have a long foot, you may find you need more yarn. Please be sure to have enough yarn to complete your project.
