About
This is a rough copycat of the sweater Rand al'Thor wears in episode 1 of the Wheel of Time!

I used double-stockinette stitch (instructions in pattern) to create a stockinette-like edging that didn't curl. The neck is quite wide and there is a small section of short rows directly after the neck to help improve the fit. The raglan and sleeve shaping are fairly simple, and instructions are given to achieve a 2-color stripe!

The pattern itself is adjustable to your gauge, measurements, and desired fit. You can use whatever yarn and needles you want, size it however you want, and it should come out!

Please note that this pattern has not been test-knit as it is a free pattern. Should you run into any snafus, simply reach out to me!

The Download
When you download this pattern, you will receive two spreadsheet downloads (Excel and OpenOffice). You will be able to enter your gauge and your measurements and get back a pattern that is customized for you!

For printers: please note that the pattern background is light grey, not white.

Fit, Yarn Use, and Testing
Your final sweater's measurements are completely up to you! I would recommend an open gauge with at least 5" (15cm) of ease to allow for comfortable layering!

Because this pattern is customizable to size and gauge, it is hard to estimate your yarn consumption. I used just under 4 skeins (1096 total yards) of Kelbourne Woolens Scout in Blue and Grey Heathers (2 skeins each), and just under 4 skeins (1320 total yards) of Shibui Silk Cloud in Graphite. This yarn use created a sweater that was 50" wide and 24" long, with long sleeves.

This pattern is not tested. I cannot guarantee that every single calculation works perfectly, but I will gladly provide support and updates for any issues that I am made aware of.

About the stripes
I used two stripe colors: blue-marled-blue and blue-marled-grey. It's hard for me to tell, but I think the actual show-sweater uses three: blue, blue-marled-grey, and grey. The pattern instructions will give round counts for two stripe colors, but you could easily split the difference on those numbers to use three stripe colors.
