Full Count - October

Twelve clubs left. One of them gets a parade.

Full Count: October is the postseason for Full Count. The wild card round, the division series, both championships and the Series, best of three, five and seven, with the higher seed hosting the way the real bracket does. Every game is a full game of Full Count.

The real 2026 field is in the box. All twelve clubs rated and seeded, the bracket, final standings for all thirty, and a cut-out ticket card for every club in its own colours. Milwaukee won 103. Houston won the American League West at 81-81 and still hosts a series. Play each series before the real one starts, write your result on the Table v Real wallchart, and fill in the real one underneath when it ends.

October has its own decisions. Four starters, and the fifth does not pitch again until April. From game four you choose between your number four and your ace on short rest. In an elimination game the closer is ready from the seventh. The top seed does not always get through.

The October Toolbox. Seven optional tools, use any of them or none. Roll a hero for each club. Roll between games for a tight hamstring, a hot bat, or the rainout that hands an ace his full rest back. Keep count of how often the ace has gone on short rest, and what it is costing him. Read the back page after every game from tables for the moment: the walk-off, the decider, game seven, the comeback from two down. Run one club through the whole month as a campaign, then roll what the winter said.
