Pablo Picasso Art Lesson Puppy Art Project Kindergarten Art Lesson Art Activity
In this Kindergarten Picasso Puppy Art Project, students create a puppy inspired by Pablo Picasso using oil pastels and watercolor paint. The finished artwork is bright and bold, with geometric puppy faces, patterned sections, expressive eyes and colorful backgrounds.
It is made for teachers, art teachers and homeschoolers and fits kindergarten, first, second and third grade, primary art, animal art and artist study. Students build the puppy from simple shapes like rectangles, triangles and squares, then bring it to life with playful patterns and bright color.

HOW TO USE IT
Start with the poem hook and the student reading page, which introduce Picasso to younger learners as an artist who loved shapes, color, imagination and making art look different from real life. Then follow the step-by-step tutorial to draw the puppy and finish with watercolor.
Students can change the colors, pattern sections and small details like a tongue, collar or bow, so every puppy looks different. The finished pieces work well on bulletin boards, hallway displays and classroom walls.
