Vashisht is a NOT a beginners project- it’s quite a challenging one therefore please make sure you already have a good understanding and experience in two color brioche knitting- flat as well as in the round.
Many techniques would be used in the pattern: provisional cast on, Italian bind off, Brioche short rows and more.
For the brioche section you should choose two colors- a light one (LC), and a dark one (DC). The pattern comes out the best when the LC yarn is on the top- as main color.
For the body section you can choose to work with either LC color- like I did, or DC color, or a different color completely.
The pattern is available in sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL). The pattern is meant to be close fitting, therefore please make sure you are working the right size for you in the size chart- consider working one size up if there are layers you wish to wear underneath (I’m sharing from my own experience mistakes).
It is possible to make Vashisht without sleeves- instructions are given and marked in pink.

XS: bust- 78cm/ 30.5’’ LC yarn: 190 m / 208 yd, DC: 200 m / 218 yd, body: 455 m/497 yd.
S: bust- 86cm/ 34’’ LC yarn: 210 m / 229 yd, DC: 225 m / 246 yd, body: 515 m/563 yd.
M: bust- 96cm/ 38’’ LC yarn: 250 m / 273 yd, DC: 280 m / 306 yd, body: 570 m/623 yd.
L: bust- 104cm/ 41’’ LC yarn: 300 m / 328 yd, DC: 346 m / 378 yd, body: 658 m/719 yd.
XL: bust- 114cm/ 45’’ LC yarn: 350 m / 382 yd, DC: 380 m/ 415yd, body: 711 m/777 yd.
XXL: bust- 125cm/ 49’’ LC yarn: 392 m / 429 yd, DC: 430 m/ 470yd, body: 810 m/885 yd.
