Lily stared at her phone screen in disbelief. The "Shrink-O-Matic" app she had downloaded on a whim from the App Store had actually worked! Her boyfriend Kyle now sat on her kitchen table, no bigger than a grasshopper.
"K-Kyle? Is that you?" Lily stammered.
The tiny figure looked up at her with wide, terrified eyes. "L-Lily? What the hell? What did you do to me?!"
Lily felt a rush of exhilaration and power. She had never felt so in control, so... dominant. An idea formed in her mind.
"I shrank you, Kyle. Don't you feel a little pathetic right now? Helpless?" She laughed.
"No, please Lily! I'm sorry for everything! Please change me back!" Kyle begged, his miniscule voice cracking.
Lily picked him up between her thumb and forefinger, bringing him close to her face. "Everything? You mean like all those times you let me down? Made me feel small?"
She couldn't believe the cruelty spilling out of her. But it felt so good to have the tables turned.
"Please baby, I'll do anything! Just put me back to normal!" Kyle pleaded.
Lily's eyes narrowed as she glared at him. "Anything? You'd better mean that..."
She carried him into the bedroom, still pinched between her fingers. Her eyes landed on her high-heeled boots sitting by the door. A wicked smile spread across her face.
"Since you want to do anything... I think a little boot worship is in order. Get to work, tiny."
She plucked Kyle off her finger and set him down beside the boots. The terrified man scrambled away on his hands and knees when his bare foot came down, pinning him.
"Lily, no! Help!" Kyle screamed in agony as the tip of her heel ground into him, crushing him into the carpet with an sickening crunch.
Lily froze, eyes wide with shock. She hadn't meant to... It was an accident! But it felt good. So good. A scream of ecstasy tore from her throat.
She surveyed the smear of blood and viscera, the only remnants of Kyle. Her boyfriend, now nothing more than a stain beneath her boots. The rush of power consumed her.
Lily smiled to herself as she calmly cleaned up the mess, then deleted the incriminating app from her phone.
No one would ever know. And now, she realized, no one could ever hurt her again. She was invincible. Queen of her own world.
