God Looks at the Heart

In human society, people often value what they can see. Status, wealth, beauty, education, and outward appearance are frequently used to measure a person's worth. Because of this, many people are ignored, rejected, or underestimated simply because they do not appear important. However, God does not evaluate people the way humans do. God is not proud, nor is He impressed by outward appearance. Instead, God looks at the heart, the inner person, and the hidden potential He has placed within individuals. Throughout Scripture we see that many people who were rejected, despised, or overlooked by society were the very ones God chose to use for great purposes. God delights in lifting the humble, revealing hidden treasure, and turning what people reject into something valuable.
