Kismet

Kismet created by John Robert Beck in 2023, presents a dynamic abstract structure that feels both deliberate and spontaneous. Translucent layers of color cascade and fold, forming a central vertical axis that anchors the composition while fluid shapes ripple outward in waves. The palette—ranging from deep blues and teals to luminous pinks and purples—creates a visual tension between serenity and motion.

The piece evokes the idea of destiny unfolding—an unseen force guiding each movement into place. The layered forms resemble echoes or moments stacked in time, giving the artwork both depth and a sense of progression. It is a study in balance, where structure emerges naturally from chaos, and where color and form align in a moment of visual harmony.
