Kaltefrau is an EP that perfectly captures the most icy and detached essence of contemporary minimal synth/synthwave, with a profoundly coldwave soul. Produced in 2025, this four-track work moves through a sparse, hypnotic, and cutting soundscape, where synthesizers sound cold in an endless night.

The voice—cold, monotonous, almost ghostly—is the element that dominates and defines everything.

It's a voice that doesn't warm, but freezes: perfect for this imagery of talking walls, uncontrollable electrical discharges, daily paranoia, and figures trapped in temporal or institutional loops.

The lyrics evoke strong, melancholic themes: subzero Berlin mixes with Florence like a pain, interference and glitches become metaphors for broken relationships, the constant feeling that "something is wrong" permeates the thick air, and the last track bears the name Eloise like a final lament over an existence reduced to a number, consumed by walls and flat time. There is an undercurrent of minimal revolt, of repressed energy that erupts in sudden sparks, but always contained in a cage of electronic ice.
